I looked at the graphics card required for Factions and it suggested 2 different cards from what I have. I was wondering if my Radeon X850 card would support Factions. It's on an alienware laptop with a 3.0 Ghz Processor with 1g memory and 60 gig hard drive.

if it runs chapter 1 fine it will Factions as well

my home brew should have it so good

i am running fine on an old 6600 GT which is not OC.

the upgrade to the engine was for dx9

any engine upgrades benefit all chapters at no extra charge.

things look better for free

this is not completely rights. it's sure if u can run guild wars prophecies u can run factions, but this last have an higer polycount than prophecies. surely on new card this have no influence but on old card can reduce fps

the 6600GT isn't that old.

I use the same card though on my primary comp and runs it wonderfully

as well as any CS:S, Q4, BF2, etc

Actually i have a 2nd computer with an old 5000 series GeForce card that runs the game perfectly smooth as well

my other pc has a 5600 ultra (works fine) which i got when my 4200 Ti smoked and the company didnt have one left in stock to give me except the better card.

i waited 3 weeks but i am not complaining
